About Us

We are Jessica and Michele.

In June 2013, we found out we were expecting babies within two months of each other.  We'd never been more excited in our lives.  Even more exciting was finding out we were both having baby girls.  We spent hours planning our daughters' lives together.

These plans started to go awry when Jessica suffered from Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes (PPROM) at 20 weeks, a condition that occurs in less than 3% of pregnancies.  She spent October to December in the hospital on bedrest, hoping she could make it as close to her February 18th due date as possible.  We remained hopeful and positive that Savannah would have a safe and healthy delivery.  On December 23, 2013, Jessica went into labor and had an emergency c-section.  Savannah Jane arrived early that morning at 3 lbs  That same night Michele went into labor with her daughter Ramona at 40 weeks+3 days.  That's when things completely fell apart.

Michele and her husband Kyle discovered Ramona had no heartbeat and delivered their daughter on Christmas Eve at 7:51 pm.  Ramona was born sleeping, 7 pounds and 15 ounces, 21 inches long.  While this unfolded, Jessica and her husband were saying goodbye to Savannah the very same day.

This is our journey through grief.
